Little River County Housing Authority Quarterly Board Meeting
Thursday, March 17, 2022 @ 2:00 pm

The Quarterly meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Little River County Housing Authority was held on Thursday, March 17, 2022 @ 2:00 pm via Zoom.

Members present: Chairperson Barbara Brown, Vice-Chair Anthony Nelson, Commissioner Rachel Williams, Commissioner Terry Smith, Commissioner Amanda Johnson and Secretary Denise Riley.

Members absent: no members absent

ITEM I) Meeting was called to order by Chairperson Barbara Brown.

ITEM II) Invocation by Commissioner Anthony Nelson.

ITEM III) Roll call by Secretary Denise Riley

ITEM IV) Approval of Meeting Agenda: Meeting agenda was mailed to all Board members for review prior to the meeting. A motion was made by Commissioner Amanda Johnson to approve the meeting agenda. Seconded by Commissioner Terry Smith. All were in favor. Motion carried.

ITEM V) Approval of Previous Minutes: Minutes of the previous meeting were mailed to all Board members for review prior to the meeting. A motion was made by Commissioner Amanda Anderson to accept the previous minutes. Seconded by Commissioner Anthony Nelson. All were in favor. Motion carried.

Financial Reports: Denise Riley gave a report on Public Housing and HCV financial positions.

Management Reports: Denise Riley gave a report on Public Housing vacancies, delinquent rents, HCV voucher utilization and vouchers issued.

ITEM VI) New Business:

  1. Hiring of Maintenance Mechanic: Denise Riley reported that Harold J. Fielding was hired on January 5, 2022 as a Maintenance Mechanic. Mr. Fielding was terminated on March 10, 2022.
  2. Financial Audit Services: Denise Riley reported that the audit was originally scheduled for March 8, 2022 but it has been rescheduled for March 29, 2022.
  3. Offset of reserves lawsuit: Denise Riley reported that LRCHA should be receiving the settlement of approximately 89,000.00 in the next couple of months.

Having no more business, Commissioner Amanda Johnson made a motion to adjourn. Seconded by Commissioner Rachel Williams. All were in favor. Meeting was adjourned.
