Pre-HUD Maintenance Inspections Beginning This Week
The Little River County Housing Authority Maintenance Department will begin pre-HUD inspections this week (July 27, 2026) in preparation for an upcoming HUD NSPIRE inspection.

These inspections are intended to identify and correct maintenance issues before the official HUD NSPIRE inspection to help ensure our community is prepared and meets HUD NSPIRE inspection requirements.

During the inspection, maintenance staff will check items including:

·        ⚡ Electrical outlets, switches, GFCI outlets, lighting, and smoke detectors

·        🚿 Plumbing fixtures, faucets, sinks, toilets, and drains

·        🍳 Kitchen appliances

·        💧 Hot water tanks

·        🚪 Doors, windows, locks, and weather stripping

·        🏠 General maintenance concerns inside and outside the unit

·        🔍 Any other items that may require repair or attention prior to the HUD NSPIRE inspection

Please ensure that maintenance staff has access to your unit during the inspection period. If you are not home, authorized Little River County Housing Authority staff will enter your unit in accordance with your lease and Housing Authority policies.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. These inspections help us complete any necessary repairs before the official HUD NSPIRE inspection and ensure that every home is safe, compliant, and inspection-ready.

Thank You for Your Cooperation!
