LITTLE RIVER COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY QUARTERLY BOARD MEETING
Thursday, March 25, 2021 @ 2:00 pm

The Quarterly meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Little River County Housing Authority was held on Thursday, March 25, 2021 @ 2:00 pm via Zoom meeting platform.

Members present: Vice-Chair Barbara Brown, Commissioner Anthony Nelson, Resident Commissioner Amanda Johnson and Secretary Denise Riley.

Members absent: (1) Chairman Joel D. Adams, Commissioner Britni Pulliam

ITEM I) Meeting was called to order by Vice-Chair Barbara Brown.

ITEM II) Roll call by Secretary Denise Riley

ITEM III) Approval of Meeting Agenda: Meeting agenda was mailed to all Board members for review and comments prior to the meeting. A motion was made by Commissioner Anthony Nelson to approve the meeting agenda. Seconded by Commissioner Amanda Johnson. All were in favor. Motion carried.

ITEM IV) Reading and approval of Previous Minutes: Minutes of the previous meeting were mailed to all Board members for review prior to the meeting. A motion was made by Commissioner Amanda Johnson to accept the previous minutes. Seconded by Commissioner Anthony Nelson. All were in favor. Motion carried.

ITEM V) Audit report: Secretary Denise Riley reported to Board Commissioners that Urlaub & Co. have not completed the audit. As soon as audit is complete a copy will be sent to all Board members.

Financial Reports: Financial reports were mailed to all Board member for review prior to the meeting.

Management Reports: Secretary Denise Riley gave a report on vacancies, delinquent rents, HCV vouchers leased up, six (6) vouchers on the street and eighteen (18) families have been sent letters to receive vouchers in the month of April.

ITEM VII) New Business:

  1. 2021 Capital Fund Grant: LRCHA has been awarded $312,828.00.
  2. Resident Portal: Residents are starting to utilize Resident portal to pay rent, request work orders. We are still encouraging more residents to sign up to use portal. Managers will be available to help with signup.
  3. Marx Williams (WW Lawncare) will be our Lawncare provider, starting April 1, 2021 thru March 31, 2022.
  4. Denise Riley reported to the Board that LRCHA was used as a case study on March 19, 2021 during a HUD webinar. The case study was an analysis on which RAD conversion would work best for our agency.

Having no more business, Commissioner Amanda Johnson made a motion to adjourn. Seconded by Commissioner Anthony Nelson. All were in favor. Meeting was adjourned.
